Pastels

Pastels are such a beautiful way to bring colour into your special day. You can use blush pink roses and pale blue and purple hydrangeas tracing the edges of the aisle as well as on your table décor. Add some candles in clear vases to bring some warmth to the table arrangements. Your bridesmaid’s dresses can also be different shades of pastel. Your dessert table can have some pastel coloured cake pops, Lindor balls in pastel colours and cupcakes with pastel icing.

A Midsummer Night’s Dream

This theme is perfect for you if you love the whimsical things in life. It would ideally be set in a garden or forest, just to add to the mystical element. You could use fairy lights hanging between the trees and have artificial butterflies placed artfully on the chairs, tables and any other areas in the venue. For table décor, you can have tall vases with water and floating tea light candles, as well as vintage vases with orchids flowing out of them. You can have high tea style snacks, such as: finger sandwiches, mini tartlets, fruit skewers and chocolate truffles.

White & Green

A simple colour scheme but it makes for the most stunning photos. Again, a garden or forest is the ideal venue for this theme as it cuts your workload in half, seeing as you’re surrounded by greenery. You can simply tie some leaves to the sides of the chairs lining your aisle and for your tables, you can create runners out of leaves and add some angel’s breath and white roses to make it more elegant. White pillar candles placed on the tables will also add to the ambiance. Your bridesmaids can also wear the shade of green that you choose and that will add a lovely contrast to your white dress. You could add a twist by using mojitos as your welcome drink.

Rustic Country

The perfect venue for this would be an old barn to give you that truly rustic element. You could make use of mixed furniture to add character to the venue, using vintage mirrors is also a great way to create little photographic moments for your guests as well as adding to the ambiance. Your table décor could include some vintage books or artifacts, along with red roses and eucalyptus leaves. The snack table could include some homemade delicacies, such as: chocolate chip cookies, mini milk tart and mini malva pudding.

Beach Wedding

Probably one of the most famous Summer wedding themes/venues, as the venue is the main attraction, you don’t want to over do your décor. Keeping to nude tones or white and green are your best options. Wrapping fairy lights around palm trees is a beautiful way to add ambiance, as well as placing candles is variously sized lanterns. You could use palm leaves down the center of your tables, with candles placed on either side. Your snacks could include, cut fruits, cake pops and ice lollies.

We hope that this gave you some ideas. Good luck with planning the rest of your special day!
