Fiesta Royale Hotel in Accra, has donated food items and cleaning products to the Dzorwulu Special School for the handicapped.
The items which included: bags of rice, flour, margarine, milk, oats, beverages, tinned tomatoes, oil, disinfectants, scrub brushes, treated mosquito nets, mineral water, buckets, mops and mop buckets, according to the hotel is a corporate social responsibility initiative targeted at supporting the less-privileged in society.
The General Manager of the Hotel, Jaco Kotze who disclosed this when he led a delegation from the Hotel to hand over the items to the School also acknowledged that “Christmas is the time for giving and sharing and as Fiesta Royale Hotel it gives us joy to lend our support yearly to orphans, hospitals, disabled who are the most vulnerable in our society.” He seized the occasion to commend the Management and Staff of the school for their hard work and support for the children and urged them to wholeheartedly continue with the delivery of utmost service to put smiles on the faces of the kids.
Receiving the items on behalf of the School, the Head Teacher, Mrs. Veronica Sackey expressed profound gratitude to Fiesta Royale Hotel for recognizing the School as part of its corporate social responsibility initiative this year. She urged other corporate entities and individuals to emulate the Fiesta Royale Hotel example indicating that the School was facing numerous challenges which government alone could not solve.“We have been getting support over the years from the corporate, Non Governmental Organizations (NGO’s), individuals and churches which we very much appreciate” she said.
Speaking in an interview with the media, the Sales and Marketing Manager of Fiesta Royale Hotel, Mrs. Yvonne Eyeson, reiterated that the Hotel would continue to factor into its corporate social responsibility programmes, the welfare of the needy as a way of giving back to society.
She entreated the public to join the Hotel this festive season for fun-packed activities and also be reminded of the facility’s ultramodern conference rooms for rent and a good conducive space for parties and programme.
