Fiesta Royale Hotel – Ghana’s leading 4 star Hotel has been a partner of the Presidential Independence Day Awards for the past seven (7) years and once again recognized academic excellence by hosting sixty (60) children from all the ten (10) regions of Ghana, for excellent performance in their basic school education.

The President’s Independence Day Award was instituted in 1993, to award scholarship to deserving Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) graduates. In celebrating and honoring these children that excelled in their basic education, they were treated to exceptional dining, relaxed elegance, impeccable service and the highest standard of excellence to celebrate and recognize their great achievement. This year’s awardees were increased from twenty (20) students to sixty (60) award winners in celebration of Ghana’s 60 year milestone.

In her welcome address at the event, the Sales & Marketing Manager of the Hotel, Mrs. Yvonne Eyeson congratulated all the awardees and further encouraged them not to become complacent. Mrs. Eyeson emphasized that Fiesta Royale Hotel valued education: “If you want to lead a happy life and enjoy the good things the world has to offer, you certainly need to get educated”.

In her concluding remarks she, on behalf of Management encouraged the awardees to keep up with the hard work, dedication and commitment as they move to another level.
