Fiesta Royale Hotel – Ghana’s leading 4 star Hotel as part of it corporate social responsibility has supported the launch of a campaign by the First Lady of Ghana, Mrs. Rebecca Akufo-Addo to raise funds for the construction of a new Mother and Baby Care Unit at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) by providing food & service to invited guests.
The campaign, dubbed “Save a child, Save a mother, Save them” is being waged in collaboration with the Multimedia Group and targeted to raise funds for construction works to start a one – Story unit to ease congestion and pressure on the current unit. The fund raising event, which took place at her office in Cantonments, Accra, comes on the heels of a documentary depicting the congested and poor state of the maternity ward at KATH.
Launching the Campaign on Thursday, 4th May 2017, Her Excellency Mrs. Akufo-Addo explained that she initiated the campaign because, as a woman who had the well-being of mothers and children at heart, she was touched by a media report on how women and babies were dying at the KATH due to avoidable causes such as congestion.
Committed to giving back to society, Fiesta Royale Management was humbled and wholeheartedly welcomed the opportunity to support this initiative to save a life.
